Staging with SabrinaAs I was browsing the DirecTV guide I saw a description for an episode of “Get It Sold” that stars Sabrina Soto that read “Some upgrading and a new approach to pricing helps a couple sell its condo”. Yahoo TV described the episode as “A couple rethink their asking price on a townhouse”. Both descriptions sound to me like every episode of “Get It Sold”. It’s funny that Sabrina never states their location. She always refers to it as ‘just outside a large metropolitan area’, or something to that effect. It seems the area is almost always close to Washington DC. Sabrina is a spicy Cuban firecracker that takes a no-nonsense approach to home staging. She does most upgrades on the cheap and she does the repairs herself…many times embarrassing the lazy, unskilled husband in the process. You go girl! Oh, and I love those little nail aprons that she wears. She needs one with her name embroidered on it like the illustration or maybe it should simply read: “¡Caliente!” |
Inexpensive TablesThese tables work great for staging projects, and look much nicer then standard folding tables when staging your house for sale.Tools:Drill/Bit for Screw Pilot holesScrewdriver Miter Saw Box/Saw Material:4'x8'x3/4" Thk PlywoodFolding Table Legs 1x2 Trim Screws Instructions:Ask the store where you purchase the plywood to cut it into (4) 2'x4' pieces. They will normally do this at no cost.
Carefully measure a side, this will be the 'inside' length of your trim piece. Appropriately miter cut the ends. Repeat for each side. Screw each trim piece to plywood sheet, ensuring that the top is flush.
Attach folding table legs according to the manufacturer's directions. On a side note, I have previously purchased Harbor Freight's Folding Table Legs model 91041. On my last purchase I noticed that either I received an old model or they changed the product and didn't update the included manual or the online pdf version. The previous model was similar to Waddell Folding Banquet Table model 2775 available at Home Depot and Item 1713 at Northern Tool and Equipment. Thankfully, the folks at CadMechanic.com were kind enough to create assembly instructions for the Folding Table Legs here: http://cadmechanic.com/table_leg_assembly.htm
